"Moving a Giant: The Art of Transporting an Industrial Complex from Belgium to Ukraine"
LOADSTAR successfully executed a challenging mission to deliver a large-scale manufacturing complex from the port of Antwerp in Belgium to Ukraine. This project required the use of various types of specialized transportation and intricate route planning.
To transport the main parts of the complex, which measured up to 4.5 meters in height and 3.6 meters in width, low-bed trailers were utilized. These trailers are ideally suited for carrying heavy and tall loads due to their low platform, ensuring safe passage under bridges and through tunnels.
Lighter and smaller components were carried on trucks with extendable sides up to 3.0 meters and an increased inner height of the semi-trailer up to 3.10 meters, providing optimal placement and stability of the load. Standard tarpaulin-covered trailers were used to transport the remaining components, protecting them from the elements.
Organizing such a transport required not only precise route planning but also obtaining all necessary permits. LOADSTAR ensured comprehensive cargo support, including monitoring movements via GPS to respond promptly to any changes.
The project highlighted LOADSTAR’s high level of professionalism and efficiency in handling oversized transport, demonstrating the importance of innovative logistical solutions for ensuring the safety and timely delivery of complex cargoes.
