Ukraine’s Trade Turnover in January 2025 Reached $8.7 Billion: Key Insights

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the country’s total trade turnover for January 2025 amounted to $8.7 billion, with $5.5 billion in imports and $3.2 billion in exports.

Taxed imports accounted for $4.1 billion, making up 74% of total imported goods.

✅ Imports (68% of total volume) were dominated by:  

🔸 Machinery, equipment, and transport – $2.2 billion (customs payments: UAH 12.9 billion, 27% of total duties).  

🔸 Chemical industry products – $901 million (UAH 7.3 billion, 15% of total duties).  

🔸 Fuel and energy products – $734 million (UAH 14.2 billion, 30% of total duties).

💰 Taxation Overview  

▪️ The tax burden on 1 kg of taxed imports in January 2025 was $0.49/kg.
