The European Investment Bank (EIB) has pledged an additional €134 million to support the reconstruction of Ukraine’s war-damaged transport infrastructure.
The announcement came during the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2025) held in Rome, where the EIB and Ukrainian officials signed the agreement on July 15, 2025.
🚧 What Will Be Rebuilt?
The funds will be allocated to repair and rebuild critical components of the country’s logistics system, including:
destroyed bridges essential for regional connectivity;
high-traffic railway segments important for domestic and international freight;
logistics hubs facilitating import-export operations;
infrastructure supporting military and humanitarian logistics.
A significant share of the recovery efforts will focus on Ukraine’s eastern and southern regions - the areas most affected by missile strikes and hostilities.
🏗 Who’s Leading the Project?
The initiative will be implemented by Ukraine’s State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development, which has been instrumental in emergency repairs and rapid reconstruction throughout the war.
📊 Why Does It Matter?
Ukraine plays a vital role as a logistics corridor between Europe and Asia.
Restoring transport infrastructure is crucial not only for the economy but also for humanitarian aid, civilian mobility, and defense. According to World Bank estimates, over 25% of the country’s logistics infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed since the full-scale invasion.
Each restored bridge or railway line contributes to faster cargo delivery, reopens export channels, and supports regional businesses - especially in agriculture, manufacturing, and retail.
We're actively monitoring infrastructure recovery zones and can already offer optimized, secure routes for clients shipping through eastern and southern Ukraine.
If your cargo needs to pass through newly restored regions, our team will work with you to ensure full compliance, safety, and timing - even under complex conditions
