Building Drone Infrastructure: AeroGrid Partners with Local Council for Charging Stations

AeroGrid, a Hertfordshire-based start-up, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with West Northamptonshire Council in the UK to identify suitable locations for drone charging points. Potential sites include rooftops of council-owned buildings, open fields, and other public spaces.  

Founder Leon Emirali sees the region as a future hub of commercial drone transport, anticipating that UK-wide drone delivery services could be operational within two years. The council’s leadership acknowledges this partnership as a step towards sustainable growth, innovation, and tangible benefits for residents and the local economy.
